Sold as NEW. Was NOT! Was a Customer RETURN with MANY repairs/probs. A few years ago, I was looking for a new laptop. Went to Best Buy. Had a sales person show me the choices, I had used Dell many times over, so that was my preference. I looked at a New one. The sales person told me price, etc. Since it was represented as NEW, had a new box, accessories, manual, etc, I didn't bother to ask if it was a return or if it was refurbished. As i began having tech probs, i tried to get service from BB and/or Dell .. yet they repeated many times thru many calls I made to them, they would not service it. They said the serial number of my comp was registered to a totally different person in another state, hundreds of miles away. After a few mnths of this runaround, I advised BB. They promised to correct the name and address situation saying they werent aware of any other owners, it was a new unit. Well it was never corrected and as current as the 1st of June, 2015, I had to call Dell again. And again they said they couldnt talk to me as the owners name was not the same as mine was nor was the state even correct. I asked please, tell me if the owner is listed as being located in the NE Unite States. The CSR was dubious to answer me, but finally he did agree. The owner was located in the NE states, but wouldnt tell me the state even. Again i was turned down for help because 'supposedly' the owner is not me but some one far north and east of me. (I found out about owners location years ago. A Dell employee felt bad she couldnt help me the time I called her, instead she told me to look at a certain website of Dell, there I found multiple service requests completed on my unit the 1st yr of ownership by that owner. Also the LOCATION of the listed owner was given to me, by the employee. a Customer RETURN with MANY repairs/probs.

It is too late in the game for any monetary recompense, or service needed on laptop,I am sure BB wouldnt help. But I would like an apology from Best Buy! I paid my hard earned money for I thought a nice new laptop, so I still am upset that was all wasted.

BEST BUY MARKETPLACE 123STORES BEWARE!!

Purchased a $650 through-the-wall air conditioner online Best Buy Marketplace via Stores123. After testing (it blew cold air briefly) and installing it, caulking it, etc. we realized it's defective. Blew cold air only a few minutes at a time. After many calls to the IMPECCA manufacturer and being advised to "try this, try that" they finally decided to agree with my a/c installer that it's defective. 6 hours. Had to pay $250 to the installer for his time. Had to refund my vacation renters their money and find them some place else to stay. IMPECCA guy offers to rush me another a/c for an extra $30. Another $680 and they can get it here in 2 days. I was told by Impecca manufacturer guy that i could return the first a/c to Best Buy. Got the 80lb a/c in my car and to the store only to be told they can do nothing for me. Finally i call 123Stores and they said the best they can do is that I'd receive an email within 24 hours with the shipping label, etc. to return it. All lies. Installer comes back 2 days later to set up new a/c, but it's the same thing. Blows cold air for 2 minutes. This time IMPECCA tells me to wait 24 hours before turning it on again. I do. Same results. Lose another vacation renter who arrived that same day, stayed two hours, and decided the 85 degree heat was too much. Refunded them. Paid the installer for his time (about 2 hours this time). Now have 2 defective 80lb a/c units and can't return them. Numerous calls and emails, getting the runaround. Promises of emails with info and shipping labels. Initiated a charge-back with my credit card. Finally got 1 shipping label for the first a/c. Realize they have the same address in Brooklyn and that I'm talking to the same people probably in the same office, pretending otherwise. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH BEST BUY NOR 123 STORES NOR IMPECCA AGAIN.

Purchased New laptop at Best Buy. Paid in full with cash $900.00. Then it wasn't in stock so they would have to ship it to my address. Best Buy shipped laptop using UPS shipping without adding door to door + signature. Tracking showed that the item was delivered to a man at me residence. Looked for package all around my house and nothing. There also was no one at home to receive it. So I called Best Buy and they said there was nothing they can do, they will let shipping know of the problem and that they would call the next day. I've waited 3 days with no call from their shipping manager. I finally found my Laptop quite aways from my residence in the ditch. Best Buy's customer service and their shipping department really suck and to think that they would do nothing if I hadn't of found my Laptop really bothers me. I hope no one has to go through this. I *** me off that Best Buy didn't care cause they already got their money.

Worker assaulted me, I was kicked out of the store for complaining. | Best Buy review from Orlando, Florida

I was in your store on Colonial Ave E, in Orlando, and your clerk was copping some kind of sarcastic attitude with me because I was asking questions about a product. (Example: I asked him if a Kindle had a light, and he said "Can't you see?") I told him (politely) that this wasn't working, and I'll go somewhere else. As I turned to walk toward the exit, he grabbed my shirt to hold me back. I raised my voice, telling him not to do that. He said he didn't mean to grab my shirt, he meant to grab my arm. I used some "bad words," as one of your managers told me. I told him what happened. First he told me that he was watching us (I don't know why he would be watching us) and the clerk didn't grab my shirt. He later changed that to "from my perspective, I didn't see it." So I suggested multiple times he ask the clerk. (My exact request, "Ask him if he grabbed my shirt.") He refused to do so. He only wanted to talk about MY behavior. I got the feeling that he was actually trying to escalate the matter by not addressing my issue at all. My position is that if you don't want customers raising their voices and using bad words, first, your clerks should not assault customers. Second, The assault should be addressed, if the customer's "bad behavior" is going to be addressed. Third, if the customer requests that the assault be dealt with multiple times, his requests should not be met with multiple refusals. Fourth, refusal to address the customer's complaint will only escalate the matter; in fact, I felt I was being goaded. Grabbing my shirt is both criminal and civil assault. Ask your lawyers and they will confirm that. I have not decided what legal action I will take, if any. I don't expect an honest and fair resolution of this, given what has happened so far. But I will certainly never shop in your store on Colonial again. And I will feel free to post this experience on any and all review boards if that suits my mood.

Getting assaulted by a store worker

BEST BUY NONDELIVERY NIGHTMARE

I have now been 30 days without a washer/dryer after a week of living with a Best Buy washer that Geek Squad could not fix. Best Buy employees (with whom I have endlessly dealt), are friendly and sympathetic, but the overall operation is a serious *** show. The day the repair man authorized a free washer, I went to the store and ordered it, along with the companion dryer. The units were delivered a couple of days later and were too big; that of course was my fault. Thereafter, however, a comedy of errors has included 2 deliveries of damaged machines, 1 delivery of the wrong machines, and 2 no-shows. Today was the second no show, and I've been advised that the next available delivery date is a week away. In my experience and opinion, this is a very bad place to buy anything requiring delivery.

Have no idea how to do inventory | Best Buy review from Conshohocken, Pennsylvania

Went to a store looking for an iPad keyboard case. I picked one out and I nventory said there were 2 in stock. They couldn't find them after a half hour of searching, so they checked another store where there were supposed to be 4 in stock. I drove 30 minutes to that store and they couldn't find them either. I kept asking for a refund and they kept sending employees to look for the item. What a huge waste of my time. They have no clue what's in their inventory. They said their "inventory specialists" knew where everything was - what a joke.

"Price Beat" is a sham! | Best Buy review

I found a bluetooth speakerphone on Amazon.ca for $45 less that what Best Buy offers at $119. When I went to the store and showed them the price, they said because it is sold by a "third party", our "price beat" policy cannot be used! They said anybody could create a shop on Amazon and they may want "to sell it for $5" (their exact wording)!!! Who in their right mind would do that? I think "price beat" is just an advertisement technic to perhaps make people think that what they are buying is at the lowest price out there. I certainly do not trust Best Buy after this experience anymore.

It's right there in the price match policy clear as crystal. You might want to read store policies before complaining.

Sorry you may think it's finger pointing but it is true. If Best Buy hired a third party delivery service to install the washer it is the delivery service/their insurance who needs to reimburse you. That is how insurance and the law works.

I have a service plan for my computers with Best Buy Geek Squad. Occassionally you get some very helpful people there but you also get some that are the complete opposite. This company needs to *** out the people who do inferior work and also hire more competent people to take care of their customers in a timely manner. They cannot keep up with the demand for service. People pay good money for their products and their service plans that they should not have to wait forever for some help. This was my experience tonight. I called about a download speed on my newer computer being half of what it is on a very old one. I asked the level 1 person to have someone call me when I got to level 2 as I wanted them to login to my old computer also and see why my download speeds were different by 30 Mbps. I also know that level 1 doesn't seem to relay all the info that I give to them about my problem to the level 2 tech. After an hour and a half I came back to my computer and noticed that it had been remotely accessed and the tech left this message for me. this is the complete log of this session.
