Pick up of a Microwave | Best Buy review from Potomac, Maryland

Purchased a Microwave on June 19, 2015. Was told to pick it up on June 29, 2015 and I told the Salesperson my Husband would pick it up after work on the 29th. When He arrived to pick it up with the receipt and purchase order he was told that because his name was not the purchaser he could not pick it up. Now our name is very unusual and the e-mail address listed on the order was his. However they still would not allow him to pick it up. So he had to cancel my order and re-purchase the microwave. He did speak with the Manager Chris who told him it was store policy and for our protection. I think this way of doing business is absolutely absurd and something else could have been done. Such as to call me either at work or home to confirm. It was just a 148.00 microwave and my husband showed his ID. I have been a loyal customer of your company and just purchased a refrigerator a couple of months ago. I wasn't satisfied with that either but this is last straw. Re the JULY 17 REVIEW of USED DELL laptop sold as NEW one in bx. | Best Buy review from Clearwater, Florida

This occured at the CLEARWATER FL store. Still, to thi day, DELL WILL NOT help me obtain SERVICE or ANYTHING else to relieve current operating probs. Buyer beware and ask questions. In hindsight, I should have asked for a signed and written stmnt saying I was purchasing a brand new computer, and not a used, or refurbished.I have heard and read many many any complaints against best buy in the past but I had been treated good many times i had made other purchases. Little did I know the worst and most detrimental problem I would really hurt me. t me $$ 800.00. And being on a small budget, not good.

Worst customer service ever!!! | Best Buy review from Arnold, Maryland

Stay away from the Best Buy store in Annapolis, MD! My husband and I purchased a 50" Sharp TV two days ago. We just had an opportunity to open up the box and get it set up today. As we were pulling it out of the box, we noticed huge horizontal cracks in the upper right part of the screen. My husband got in the car to drive down and exchange it. I thought this would be an easy task, especially since we are both longtime customers of Best Buy. To our surprise, this was not the case at all!!! The manager would not take it back because it was beyond a 24 hour return period. Really??? It wasn't even 48 hours since we purchased it. We wasted time on the phone with Best Buy corporate as well and were directed back to the Annapolis store. Buyers beware! Have the sales rep open up the TV box in the store so you know you are purchasing an uncracked TV. I will NEVER shop at Best Buy again!

Commercials on ROKU | Best Buy review from Chandler, Arizona

I have a Roku in my home because we do not have cable TV. One of my uploaded programming channels is CBS all access, Also Hulu plus. I have to endure a certain Best Buy commercial over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.....get the point. Same commercial every 10 minutes. Same commercial every 10 minutes. Same commercial every 10 minutes. Same commercial every 10 minutes.. I will no longer shop at Best Buy for my electronics or other Best Buy products. The very mention of the company name *** me off!. I mute the commercials every time they appear on screen!! You would think a multibillion-dollar corporation would have a better advertising department! Seriously you have turned me off of your name brand. I will not step foot in any one of your stores again. That commercial is printed on my brain but it has the opposite of fact of what you were trying to achieve. I'm sure many feel the same. It's quite irritating.

Poor customer service | Best Buy review from Goodyear, Arizona

This happened a Best Buy store, Goodyear, AZ. I had an issue with a product i bought and didn't work. I tried to return it within 24 hours and but it was refused. I had to contact the manufacturer, though I bought it from the store. The assistant manager Mark, by name, was so arrogant and rude, and very disrespectful. He lack customer service skills. He is not qualify to work in a store like that, but unfortunately he is the assistant manager. I stayed and argued over and over again but no resolve made to my complains. I hate Best buy. If you are reading this, shop around at other stores before you go to any Best buy, especially the store in Goodyear AZ.

Bought Sharp 80" and broken when i got home... | Best Buy review from Rowland Heights, California

Ill keep it short... Bought a brand new Sharp 80" Rented a truck to get it home. Purchsased 15 min prior to closing. Got it home and up on the wall, turned it on and a huge spider crack across the whole scree. The screen or glass was flawless but some kind of an internal crack. The next day re rented the truck and took it back at store opening. After 6 employees insopected the box and screen and they had already treated me like a criminal they said theyll give me store credit because they no longer carry that model. Mind you this is the following morning or technically the following business hour after my purchase. I said uh no, i want a refund then and because you guys have have been jerks. I spend $3,000 and im treated like the criminal... The said No, i said well its all yours and you have my money and your TV and i have nothing to show for this $3,000 charge. So i left and disputed it with my bank. 6 WEEKS LATER my bank calls and says yeah we took the money back that we refunded for the investigation because it was a PIN based transaction which is the same as cash so your SOL. UGH! This is 6 weeks later now so im sure Best Buy doesn't have the TV anymore. Im going now to the store to attempt to get my money back or Store Credit I can sell on Plastic Jungle or even a hug would be better than what I have now. Ill update when I get back...

I bought a TV at Best Buy for our new lake house. I didn't open the box for months because we were decorating/furnishing the house. When I opened the box the TV was broken. The store person rudely acted like I broke it. Then she said look at the receipt- it says no returns after 45 days. I said I'm not returning - it was damaged when I bought it. She said I'll have to have your receipt so I searched for a day or two got the receipt. I went back and asked for a manager (& a man came but doubtful it was a manager!)and he said I can't help you it's after 45 days. Finally my husband called and got the real store manager and told him we were about to buy other products there but now we wouldn't and he said the only way he could help us is if we did buy them -he'd give us a good price. Needless to say we bought appliances elsewhere!! I'll NEVER go to Best Buy again!! I've since learned I have several friends with similar stories. DONT GO TO BEST BUY!!

Bought a refurbished touch screen laptop on their flash sale. Surprising I found out the reason why they have it on sale because it was a defected item and everyone returned it.

Got it returned and went to the store to look for another laptop.

Apparently they don't stock up items they have on sale for whatever pathetic reason. Been shopping at best buy since I was young but I guess after buying out future shop they don't have any competition therefore they truly don't give a ***

They have a 15 day return/exchange policy. You had the TV in a box for months.

There is NO WAY for Best Buy to know how you stored that TV or what may have happened in those months. So of course they aren't going to do anything.

Purchased Apple Mini3 IPad, month later saw same IPad on sale from Sams in Sarasota Fl. Fifty dollars cheaper. Brought receipt and ad from Sams to Best Buy on Cattleman Rd Sarasota Fl, was advised by manager, would not honor it because it was over 14 days. Told him I was not aware of that policy, said it was on receipt; read receipt which only stated must be returned within 14 days, nothing about matching price. He then said I should have gone on-line and it states it there. Obviously deceptive practices, and poor business if in fact that's true. Have shopped Best Buy for many many years; no longer;I do not put up with that kind of chicanery.

As a general rule in retail the price match window is the same as the return window, this stems from back when retailers used to have to 'return' the item and then 'resell' it at the lower price. Obviously most retailers no longer have to do this they simply issue a credit, but the window to receive this credit remains the same. Also because if you saw a lower price and they didn't want to price match for some reason you could simply do a return and purchase elsewhere, but when you are past the return policy time frame you are stuck with that product at the price you paid.

bought retaped box... no paperwork inside after 4 months the TV was dead. tried to get them to replace it and they wouldn't. I believe they sold me a open box item as new. will replace or fix, that isn't good enough I went to Sams and bought a new one. I will never shop Best Buy again. Watch out and make sure your item is in a fresh unopened box. THEY MAY BE SELLING YOU A LEMON. Wasn't comfortable talking to these people at all... BEST BUY, YOUR CUSTOMER RELATION WILL DOOM YOU. I would have felt better about the situation if I didn't purchase a box that had been open before and as it stands they left me with a deaf granddaughter who is a mother of three and no tv because I feel they sold me returned junk.

Best Buy sucks....my 65 inch tv played out in 4 yrs...had a 4 yr contract...they stop making the power surge tube for that model mishibishi refused my claim also.

Bought more then $35.000 for the last 4 years in Bestbuy products. Most of the items have been protected by geek squad protection plan. Used the protection plan one or 2 times for small things like headphones - worked well. they got my trust, and since then bought accidental damage protection for most of my electronics (a lot of those) Today was the first time when I really needed the protection, dropped my Nikon D7000 on a hiking trip - had pice of mind that I have protection. :) to find today that they are not going to help me since the damage is larger then the manager from the store Mark, could emagine that may happen from a drop. All evaluation is based on the managers mood or physics knowledge, ( I serious reasons to belive that he doesn't know anything about physisc) may be his mood was bad... but that should not affect my shopping experience. The third option may be that he is rasist...
