Went to buy a new refrigerator as mine stopped working this morning. There was a large moveable stairway in front of the Samsung large capacity fridges and I had to move it myself. Karen came by saying she was busy but would be back in a few minutes to help. She never did. I had decided on a fridge and it was 25 minutes later. I went to service to ask for help and they called someone who never came. I went back and they said the appliance guy would not be in until 11. Well it was 10:30, I had already been waiting 25 minutes. If you open at 9, then expect customer at 9 not 11 a.m. So I left and went and purchased the refrigerator and extended warranty at Home Depot. That $5,000 looks much better in their pocket. If you keep up this level of non service be ready to go out of business like your predecessor Future Shop.

I was checking out with Tiberius- the register guy at Moorpark -Thousand Oaks when I realized I had left my BestBuy credit card in my car. I got my card from the car and was standing in front of him for 10 min but he kept calling the customers from the line. I asked him to let me pay but he rudely said that I would have to go back in the line. I had already been in the line before and there was no reason for me to go back in line. I left the stuff I was buying there and walked out. Am I surprised Best Buy is going down with poor customer service?

Defective laptop. Went to Best Buy, Citrus Park Lane location, Tampa, Florida. As I have a service contract there. It was 11:30am was told by customer service I had to make appointment. Even though there were only two people at the service desk I was not allowed to wait. They gave me an appointment time of 2:15pm same day. So I left the store and then returned at 2:00pm. Two trips to Best Buy. Waiting on line with my appointment slip in my hand. As rep at desk had a customer. Couple steps in behind me with a computer that needs repair. I asked them if they had made an appointment. They told me they hadn't. I told them they needed to get one as that was the new policy explained to me earlier in the morning. Right then a Geek Squad guy named Sheldon came over and began asking the walk-ins what they needed. They said dropping off a computer for repair. Same thing I was doing. Then Sheldon asks me what I am doing there. I showed him my appointment slip and told him I had been there earlier in the morning but had returned, having been given an afternoon appointment. Sheldon tells me I have to wait since it is only 2:05pm . He tells the walk-ins don't worry he can take them now there is an open slot in the scheduling then he turns to me and tells me again I will have to wait until 2:15 per my appointment. Sheldon takes the walk-ins ahead of me and serves them at the far end of the counter. I asked to speak with a manager. Geek Squad manager listens to my story and then says he will find a rep to take care of me. Meanwhile minutes go by and Sheldon finishes helping the walk-ins. The walk-in couple walks past me and the guy slams his fist into a piece of paper and tells me "see I got what I needed!!" and walks away. Sheldon (foreign accent/foreign extraction) comes back and tries to argue with me and I told him I did not want him near me and did not want him helping me he as he is a disgrace and knows nothing about business. The other reps had to pull him away as he wanted to engage me on the issue. This employee had a terrible attitude yet wanted to prove me wrong! This store is a disaster. Don't recommend the customer service here it's absolutely bizarre.

Purchased a refrigerator online in early November. In the comments section I listed delivery after 4:30pm required. They accepted the order and took my 100% payment. On Nov 26 I received a text stating an 8am-10am delivery. I called their number, told them the time was unacceptable. They stated they could only change the date. I informed the rep that they accepted the order with my requirement and we had a contract, (verified by their taking full payment). The rep stated she would research and call back in two minutes. Did not happen. Why put a comments section on the order if it is not getting read? Now I currently do not have a clue what they intend to do at their convenience. 50 minutes later I receive a call. The caller states: You have a delivery tomorrow between (now) 8 and 10:30. I replied no, and went through the whole thing again. He stated he had no control over delivery, I told him we had a contract for a delivery after 4:30, and they collected full payment, accepting the terms of purchase. He stated he would call in the am.

It wasnt fair we were here all night and all of us didnt get a ticket supposly because it has to be one dor family and some people in front of us had a ticket each person and they were family , manager was so racist cause we were hispanics and the other ones were white

Waited 27 minutes for a sales person to wait on me to buy a lap top before walking out and buying it at Staples where the sales people were attentive and interested in their customers. Three sales people stood around and talked to each other. Tried to ask for service and they walked away. Other customers in the same situation. One woman swore all the way out the door at How Rude they were as she walked out also. Guess the don't need the business. Apparently they don't earn commission so they don't have to work. This is the exact same situation I've faced every time I go to Best Buy. Walked in for a big screen television, cash in hand, waited 15 minutes, walked out.

Asked multiple people for assistance, no one available, though they are standing around socializing.

Went to purchase a desktop computer, two people that work in the department conversing, I asked for help, they both acted like I didn't exist. Office Depot was next door, though I loathe them, I made the computer purchase there.

After buying my first five computers from BB, I stopped due to the exact same situation as you described---plus, the noise in the store from the piped-in "music" became so loud and irritating that shopping became impossible. I now only buy them online, usually at HP or even Amazon, tho Amazon is becoming rather suspect in the product ratings.

Best Buy Bee Cave, TX

September 7th I purchased over $7000. of Kitchenaid and LG appliances with a 5 year Geek Squad warranty and scheduled a delivery date of Nov. 2nd. I called the store a week before the scheduled delivery to make sure everything was good for that date and was told there were no problems. By the 2nd I did not receive a call or a delivery and spent 2.5 hours on the phone with Best Buy customer service, the store, and XPO delivery. They re-scheduled for the 4th. On the 4th, the same thing...no call and no delivery. That day I was on the phone for 4 hours and was told by Fabian, the Bee Cave store manager, that he would work on it and call me later in the day. He never called, I called him and all I got was we can re-schedule for the 9th, then it was the 14th, then the 24th. At the end of the day he cancelled my order but still charged me $423. With all the time I spent on the phone I talked to about 8 different individuals with one customer service agent calling me a liar. When I tried to call the CEO, they hung up on me. There was no Black Friday, I had completely paid for my order and had set a delivery date for 2 months out. There is simply no excuse for this type of beyond horrible customer service. The next day I called a Pacific appliance inside a different Best Buy and completely re-ordered everything and they were able to get my appliances to me within 2 weeks. Don't order any appliances from Best Buy in Bee Cave and I would recommend only using Pacific sales if you absolutely need to order from Best Buy

Told shud subscribe to geek squad for iPhone. "They will repair or replace your damaged phone". Phone damaged after several months paying. Guess what? Oh that kind of damage isn't covered. Best buy credit card got charged for some kind of insurance. Was not told - just appears. Only way to stop was to close account. Samsung TV purchased. Removed from box had chip corner of screen. Returned same day. Was told "how do we know you didn't do that" General service a lot like Home Depot. Say they will check - and never come back Prove you don't have to be good to be successful

Misnamed "BEST BUY" and its "GEEK SQUAD" (well named) do not provide the kind of support they promise when you pay for an extra extended warranty. I have phoned several times over several weeks asking them to send someone over to make sure my TV/Sound/Apple Computer system was connected/set up properly since it has never worked well from just after they first set it up. Trying to get service I have been (a) cut off on phone calls (b) transferred from department to department, on one call no less than 4 times (c) given service dates that are impossible for me to make, (d) been asked repeated technical questions that I can't answer by people who read scripts telling me how sorry they are I am experiencing difficulties instead of just helping to resolve them and, finally (e) being offered a visit in late December, about 2 months from the time of my initial phone call. These folks haven't the faintest idea of what good customer support or service is. They obviously don't know that "the customer is always right." They just want your $ up front and when they have it they could care less about whether you are happy with their products/services. I would NEVER buy from them again.
