Can't find purchase | Best Buy review from Newport News, Virginia

I purchased a 40inch Sharp TV from Best Buy in Sept 2013 with care plan. Best Buy is saying they can't find my purchase. Which part was with cash and the rest with credit card. Talked with billing department and they said they can't find it either, but I have bank statement showing transaction. How does a giant electronic store not have a transaction for cash nor credit card. Something not right. Either my transaction was swiped out or something is fishy. I haven't gotten any help from any departments I have talked to.

Best Buy say they can't find my purchase of 9/2013 and I did part of it with bank card. Somebody wiped my transaction out of system because part of cash but they forgot I also did credit as well.

Best Buy will not credit my account.

I live 100 miles away from Best Buy. I returned an item (unopened and untouched) and because it was beyond the 14 day limit they would only issue a store credit. I charged it on my Best Buy credit card and they refused to credit my account. They said they would not do it. I now have a useless $250 store credit which they will not accept for payment on my account. I refuse to shop at Best Buy and would like to know where I can complain about this policy. If I don't pay the entire balance I will not only have a useless credit, I will be paying interest on the account as well. Most stores would have worked with me but they refused.

So you knew of the time limits on returning items for a refund but you went past that time and you are blaming the company! Our society has become that we are never wrong and the other side needs to bend in our favor. They issued a store credit so why don't you try and sell that credit on Craigslist to try and recoup some of your mistake

Best Buy - Geek Squad Service Review from San Antonio, Texas

The person who installed my equipment was Sam; going forward, I am now talking about a manager named Samuel, not the installer: I requested to see a manager after seeing a female Geek Squad agent being significantly overwhelmed by the volume of customers and she was working the store front Geek Squad counter ALONE. A different female employe in the TV section was initially unable to assist me paying for a dashcam for install in my vehicle because "...all the managers are in a meeting and I can't get into the case." My interpretation of her visible uneasiness was she was very professional and apologetic but also embarrassed that the store management team would put her in a position to disappoint a customer (me) by wasting my time because of poor planning/communication by the management team. An employee named Eric(k) was directed on two occasions to walk from the front customer service/Geek Squad counter regarding my transaction (exchanging a defective product installed in my vehicle). Sam, the installer, said the front desk team would call him if they had any questions. The first time Eric(k) went to see the installer while I waited took eight minutes to return. The second time he was sent to go and ask the installer a question, I asked if he could call instead of making me wait. Eric(k) replied "...I don't have the number and there is no walkie talkie in the install bay." I was disappointed to be held accountable, by having to wait twice, because the phone number to a section within the same building isn't readily available to employees. I informed the manager Samuel the employees shouldn't be treated this way. The poor treatment, lack of training, and communication result in employees having unnecessary stress, giving poor customer service and ultimately if those employees leave the company, the second and third order effect include losing continuity of a trained/motivated employee, recruitment, training, and admin cost increases that ultimately get passed on to me the customer as reflected in the prices I pay for merchandise at Best Buy. The manager smugly deflected his responsibilities: 1. Manager stated employee was wrong that all the keys to electronics cases were not in a meeting and an employee on the floor had the keys. I responded by stating if the employee didn't know who had the keys, this is still a failure of management. 2. Manager stated the install bay crew failed to put the phone number to the install bay at the customer service counter at the front of the store. I explained that I believe this is a management failure and if Eric(k) works the Customer Service counter and doesn't know the number to the install bay, this is a training deficiency that management is responsible for. I have been a loyal Best Buy customer for over a decade, I don't deserve to be disrespected and brushed off like this. R. B.

I am a disabled vet with loss of one hand I bought a bunch appliances I expected them to install they did not I had to undo my dishwasher with one hand I had to have my girlfriend help cut up my hand they did not help the people always give me a line on bs they were supposed to call me within 48 hours never happen had to drive down they had me wait 3 hours and no apology from the manager lousy individuals

Best Buy - Verizon Cell Phone Review from Norcross, Georgia

Sergio at the Perimeter Best Buy in Georgia has successfully and completey ruined my opinion of all Best Buy stores. I went in to get a new Verizon cell phone. I told him to start with that i WAS NOT INTERESTED in a payment plan. I would rather get contract price or just pay for it outright. He would not allow me to do either one. He just refused to sell me what i wanted. I wound up leaving with what HE WANTED ME TO HAVE!! I complained to Verizon, but when Verizon tried to get involved with the manager to resolve the issue, no one would help her either! I'm disgusted with your "used car salesman" tactics. I wont make the same mistake again!

Poor customer service in the store,,,, no one seemed to know what was going on because I wanted a ice maker with the refrigerator,,,,, could not deliver for a week unless I wanted to pay $150 for installation... got messages on computer and phone saying they were coming Friday 3:30- 5:30.... I took off work to be there.... they called Friday to say they couldn't come until the next Thursday,,, called the # they gave ... on hold forever,,,,,had to talk to someone... then someone else on hold..... talked to manager at Fields Ertel...couldn't care less about my problem,,, said he would credit the acct.... not helpful whatsoever,,,,,,,I cancelled my order... will shop elsewhere from now on.... had bought a washer thru Best buy a few months ago,,, will pay that off and NEVER return...... very poor treatment,,, very upsetting

I purchased an IPad at this Store and received poor customer service. When asked to speak to a Manager I was told he was busy. Requested his name and was told it was Herb, also requested his last name and was told last names of Managers aren't given out, Store Policy. I won't shop Best Buy again. My wife and I were treated like shop lifters, also associate did not seem knowledgeable of the product we were buying at one point she informed the cost of the IPad was $400.00 when the cost was approximately $200.00.

I check an item on Cyber Monday and the next day (on Tuesday). At both times, it said dollar amount X. I go there in the evening, bam, they have changed the prices online and in store. So, when I go to store, they tell me, sorry, this item now goes for X + 50% more. I showed them other stores with X amount but they said they are not going to price match it. How are people supposed to track your prices in less than 8 hours? This is ridiculous.
