Broken new Washer | Best Buy review from Mission Viejo, California

We were delivered a broken washing machine and they had the nerve to want to make us wait and have it repaired??! We just bought it! They also showed up a day early??! We had to turn around from a short trip to accept the day early delivery for this broken machine. My husband spent 2 entire days dealing with horrific cusomer service people and false promises. They said they would send a new one out the next day. We received texts and phone calls confirming the delivery. We waited a 2nd day w/scheduled delivery time for a promised replacement and it still never showed up. I have filed complaint with BBB. It's not the broken machine that is the problem….it's the way in which Best Buy has dealt with the issue.

Beware of extended warranty that they sell. Tell you it's good for additional 4 years after manufacture warranty expires. Have a problem with item after 2 years and they tell you it's only good for one year. They can't explain why it has the 1yr/ adh 4 on it but basically I spent a lot of money for a warranty and they screwed me. Partially my fault I believed the saleswoman without reading the fine print. lesson learned go somewhere else.

I went to best buy to have my iPod talk to and down load my music from my computer. I should take less that 5 minutes to do. I was told by a blue shirt I must come back in two hours and I said why you can do it. he said only geeks can. Asked to see a manager and 5 blue shirts all said the could not help come back in two hours. one of uyou guys can help, right? Nope. Never again.

1. If you know it's going to take less than 5 min to do, do it yourself.

Blue shirts are on the floor to assist customers purchasing products in their designated departments. It is not their job to get on a customers personal computer and show them how to use iTunes.

3. Geek Squad has a very specific protocol to keep customer data safe (including the data that is on your computer), to go outside of that protocol is a fire able offense. I don't know why you want someone to risk their job for something that you could do yourself at home in "5 min"

There are other customers that have been checked in before your that have their computers and products being worked on, you have to wait your turn. Just like if you go to Starbucks to buy a bottle of water and there is a line. It doesn't matter that it will take them 1 min to complete the transaction, you still have to wait your turn.

5.

You pay for convenience. You want Geek Squad to do something for you, you have to wait until someone is available to do so.

6. That is what the genius bar at Apple is for.

If you walk in without an appointment, you might get lucky and be helped right away, but if you walk in (without an appointment) and expect to be helped immediately when there are other people being helped, you will be told the exact same thing by an apple employee. It doesn't matter how long it will take, you have to wait your turn, just like all the other adults out there.

BEST BUY OR WORST BUY is the question.

Best Buy will go bankrupt because it is run by INCOMPETENT people. Geek Squad is just the tip of the iceberg. Best Buy double charges the service contract on the phone month after month. After spending nearly four weeks and at least ten phone calls, the reluctants agreed to refund the bogus charges. MINISTRY OF CONSUMER better get their act together and see why BEST BUY / GEEK SQUAD is allowed to continue with this kind of fradulent business practice. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE.

We have been contacting Best Buy from earlier this afternoon trying to find a resolution to the damaged TV we bought last night but only got frustrated answered from your employees. We bought a Samsung 55" 4k TV from our local Best Buy store in Charlotte, NC last night at 8:49 PM. When we got home and took the TV out of its box, we found a cracked screen, it is at the bottom of the screen and at first we thought it is the plastic wrap but then I realized there is no plastic wrap on top of the screen, so obviously it is a crack. I brought the TV back right after I got off work today around 3 PM and wanted an exchange. But the store manager said they could not offer an exchange because it was inspected by their inspector before we left the store last night. BUT as we remembered, the inspector opened the TV box but did not even take the wrapping paper off to inspect the TV, it was nearly close time last night, it took him less than 10 seconds to look at the TV, besides, we were not asked to inspect the TV ourselves. The crack is at the bottom of the screen, the inspector did not see it and let us take it home. When I took the TV back this afternoon, the internal crack already spreads to the top. The store manager said they could only offer a $599 credit back to us and we have to pay over $300 for the damage. We trusted the inspector and the store so we thought it is a good TV, even after we found the cracked screen last night, we did not even take pictures because we trusted the store would take it back. We did not expect the store staff would question us and let us take the responsibility for their fault.

The WORST customer service!!! I purchased TV & wall mount for add $200. I then purchased TV setup for $150 more. When I called, they said that TV mounting is additional $100, but they couldn't add it to the purchase; I need to go on-line to add it. While on-line I see the same wall mount, setup & tv mounting for $350. For the same product & installing I had to cancel the initial setup and return the wall mount, then reorder the $350 package. I was on the phone for over 30 minutes to get the refund on the installation!!! Finally a manager got on the line and offered to call me back when the refund was completed. Not including my time to return the SAME wall mount to the local store! Best Buy needs to change its name to Worst Service!!!

I ordered a $20Steam gift card on 12/15/15 with 2 day expedited shipping. No notifications or anything warning me that it might be lost in transit but I keep track especially for Christmas presents. Christmas came and went and I never received the card so after several emails and phone calls (even the robot customer service agent seemed to have an attitude-lol) I asked for a refund but was informed I would have to wait for the investigation? Over a $20 gift card...can't they track those to see if they are used and again, seriously, a $20 is really worth an investigation? The customer service is horrible. I promise not to purchase from Best Buy again and I will be spreading the message.

Bought a TV from bestbuy.com with nice price. But the good experience ended there. BestBuy emailed and called to confirm the delivery date. No show. I rescheduled it to a next available date. Even though I received email confirmation, it's still no show. I had to call the 800 number to schedule it to a Sunday. Finally my TV was delivered on that Sunday. Really? A customer has to allocate 3 dedicated days to receive a discounted TV? What does it mean when BestBuy confirms the delivery date with email and phone call. My experience is that they may or may not show up. Ridiculous.

Ok, I have to admit my mistake. We found the package I thought was not delivered, totally my mistake. I still found the first person I spoke with at Best Customer Service to have been rude, and misinformed about my order history. I give him a 2 out of 10. It was a super busy day for them, the 26th of Dec., but after waiting 12 minutes he completely stated the wrong facts about my having called on the 18th and implied I was lying. That conversation lead me to call back to make sure no one else was ordering using my information, and after waiting 20 minutes on hold the lady was very nice and helpful, and told me the guy had been wrong, which was a huge relief. We then found the frying pan the next day, very nice by the way!, and I called back to cancel the renewed order, (and apologize). That lady was extremely nice and helpful and I only had to wait 5 minutes. So the item is great, WAS in fact delivered on time, but they need many more nice people on the customer service lines.
