Don't Buy Appliances at Best Buy

On December 20, my family and I purchased a washer and dryer set from the Pacific Sales within the Woodbridge, VA Best Buy location. After being told the units would be available for quick delivery, the truth was far from that. It took 3 1/2 weeks from the time of purchase for my units to be delivered. At about the 2 1/2 week from purchase point, I called Best Buy for an update and they informed me they "do not handle that" and gave me to Pacific sales. Upon speaking with a Pacific Sales associate, they forwarded me to a warehouse and delivery case manager. I was unhappy with the service and was offered compensation once the units were delivered. One week later, my washer machine arrived damaged and inoperable. I called Pacific Sales back and was forwarded, transferred, placed on hold on and off for over four hours. When discussing compensation for my family of four's laundry, the compensation was withdrawn as an option. When I asked for an exchange or fix I was told I would have to buy a completely different washer machine from Best Buy first, and then Pacific Sales would refund me the money after the original washer machine was returned to the warehouse. When discussing fixing the brand new machine, I was told there were no technicians available to service the machine in the area I live in. Really? I live just outside of Washington D.C. and there is no one to service the machine I purchased? A third party contractor was hired to come out and fix one of the issues. The contractor came without the parts needed and delayed the process of fixing the washer machine another week. Long story short, it has been over a month since I purchased my washer and dryer for my new home. I have yet to use my washer and dryer and it will still be another week before the technician returns. Avoid Best Buy and Pacific Sales like the plague. No one takes ownership of the complications and the two companies will blame each other for the issues. The costumer service reps will try to pawn you off to someone else and not be of any help. There was only one customer service representative out of the ten (at least) I spoke to that was of any help (Dawn/Pacific Sales). I refuse to give Best Buy and Pacific Sales any more of my business. Read the reviews. This is one of many of the horror stories from these two businesses that work horribly together. Once they had my money, they no longer were of any help to ensure customer satisfaction. Go to Home Depot, Lowes, or HH Gregg for appliances. The time and headaches are not worth shopping at Best Buy.

I ordered an Apple Ipad from Best Buy. Purchase date was 1/5/16 Delivery Date promised 1/12/16. This was never received. I called about 1/15/16 Best Buy said they contacted UPS and USPS and had to reship, with me on the phone waiting. They said they would resend by expedited mail. When I asked for the shipping number, they promptly hanged up. 1/21/16 Still nothing. My wife's birthday 1/21/16. I called to cancel to buy elsewhere. They said they can't cancel but that they have arranged a store pickup for me about 3000 miles away. I asked what does the law say about cancelling orders. Crystal said since you are threatening legal action I am hanging up on you. At least there is this opportunity to reach some that agree there are better things to do than take a chance and be tormented in a manner such as this and waste hours of your life to buy a $700 IPAD. We need not support behavior like this. Are you trying to avoid tremendous agitation. Think twice before ordering something from a company that may put you through this. What I did not mention are all the others I spoke to...... there are many other companies that do not behave this way....

It is not up to any store to stand behind something they sell. They sell items.

They do not make them. THAT is up to the manufacturer.

After the return period, you deal with the manufacturer unless you pay the menial dollar amount for their protection plan. You played the odds, and lost.

Wife went to buy a phone case and the salesmen states, "Are you confused about which phone you have?" What !!! Same day say place....Samsung employee (?) knew no specifics about the tablets and for fun ask him if it could play FLAC files. "Hey Joe can these play flac files?" Sounds like future used car salesman. Besides, being totally brain dead about the product, even with the Samsung shirt on, gave us bad information on the tablets and kept hounding us to buy a tablet. In addition , the store was disorganized, dirty, and poorly lit. I can see the end is near for these stores

Rocketfish Power Adapter Review

Baught rocket fish adapter a couple of years ago, never really used much. Today the power cord started smoking and sparking! Went to unplug shock! Both ends of charger cord looked like they were cut! It fried tv and stereo! Good luck!

I purchased a brand new Samsung 65 inch TV a few weeks ago and informed the delivery company for Best Buy and Samsung and I got the run around. I was told by Best Buy's delivery company that they can fix remote control but charge me a fee. The remote control and the TV was brand new when delivered yet wanted to charge me a fee for a defective product. It's been a weeks and neither Best Buy nor Samsung has contacted me regarding the defective remote control. The remote control only works intermittently on certain areas of the living room where the TV is located. I am very dissatisfied with the defective Samsung remote control; dissatisfied with Best Buy and Delivery Company; and Samsung Customer Service.

I bought an unactivated device (full retail price) not long ago but it happened to be defective (heats up easily and restarts). It was the last day of return and I brought it to store AFTER calling 1888bestbuy (I was told I could bring it to any store). When I was at the W Hollywood Store, I was denied of my return because of the store's policy of "unactivated device purchases are FINAL SALE." I was not informed of this and this "new" policy was not shown on the receipt as well. The receipt clearly says that all mobile phones are subjected to 14 days return policy. I tried explaining that I called 1888bestbuy and that the receipt does not reflect this "new" policy. The sales/return associate then told me that it's mobile department manager's instruction and had me talked with her instead. I talked to the mobile department manager; she was being extremely unhelpful. I told her that the device was defective and asked if I could AT LEAST exchange it. She still insisted that unactivated devices are final sale and that I can't exchange or return it. This obviously didn't make sense. So she kept brushing me off with the same reason and I left. I went out to the store and immediately called 1888bestbuy again to verify the whole policy again. I was told by the phone representative that this was absolutely not true! Fortunately, the phone representative was kind enough to help me. She put me on hold and personally called W Hollywood Store and talked to the manager to resolve this issue. After the hold was over, she told me that I could talk to the manager again to process the return. Finally, the manager is WILLING to process the return. But AGAIN, she told me that she's only making an exception this time and that future purchase of unactivated devices are FINAL sale. I'm not sure why she continued to insist her point when 1888bestbuy and bestbuy.com obviously did not state such a policy. I didn't ask further questions since I can return my phone. At the end of the visit, I'm glad I was able to return my defective phone BUT i will NEVER come by this store again. All the trouble and wait (for almost 2 hours) just to return a DEFECTIVE product.

Deivery man broke my new washer and lied about it! | Best Buy review from Tewksbury Township, New Jersey

Bought a new washer. Delivery man broke it, flooded the floor and then lied and said he just dropped it off he did not try to install! My contractor witnessed the whole thing. Delivery man said he would come the next day and replace part he broke! No! Bought a new washer- want a new washer. Can't believe he lied to BestBuy. Now I have to fight with them for replacement. I have pictures and a witness! Terrible experience.

I had purchased a washing machine from Best Buy Allen Park, I had it delivered and installed in October 2009, it was messing up in 2012 and it recently started messing up again 2016. I purchased a new one from Best Buy online and had it delivered when the delivery man looked at my old washer he noticed there were plastic pieces that should have been removed when installed originally and that is what broke my washer. I called Best Buy to see if they would fix my washer because the original delivery man installed it incorrectly. Best Buy said it would cost me $100 for them to look at it plus whatever it would cost to fix it. So because they installed it incorrectly it broke and now I have to either pay to have it fixed or buy a new one thank you best buy I will never shop there again But I do want to thank k who came over to deliver the new washer which is going back to Best Buy, he was very honest and telling me about the plastic pieces in the back and I do appreciate that, if only Best Buy was that helpful with the customers.

The shipping bolts that were "still installed" hold the drum against the frame of the washer... There is no way it can work for years. From the first time it started up it would have been grinding and banging so much you would have known that something is wrong.

uh yeah sure it "acted up" 3 years later then it took another 4 years for it to break that you bought another one only to have that install guy say the original install was wrong and that's what broke the machine?

i'd like to know just what kind of "wrong" installation causes a machine to last 7 years then finally fail to the point of needing to be replaced with a new machine.

yeah ok sure if it was installed correctly I doubt it would have taken the original 3 years for it to break and lasted almost 7 years in total?

One day in the week of 1/13/2016 I took My computer to Best Buy. I was told I need to make an appointment to drop off the computer. There were no other customers at the Geek Desk and the clerk told me he would make an exception After receiving a "ROBO-CALL" on 1/12/16 I went to pick up the computer and although there were no other customers I was told I needed to make an appointment to PICK-UP the computer. After arguing I left and called customer service and was told that an appointment to pick up a computer was not necessary. I recalled the store and spoke to Scot at 7:12 PM whom I had never seen before. He told me he knew I called corporate but I was not getting the computer without an appointment.
