I purchased a T.V. from Best Buy and for the past year the closed-captioning does not work. For some odd reason, the words displayed are garbled and misspelled. At first, I thought it was a signal issue so I changed from Dish Network to Direct TV to now ATT Uverse, which uses fiber optic directly to the cable box. None of changes have made the closed-captioning work. Ironicily, only the tv in question doesnt work. All other tv's work flawlessly. My wife is deaf and cant not watch tv with the family as she can not understand what is being said. Best Buy repair techs have been out 4 times and missed 2 additional appointments. I have been on the phone minimally 12 times with Best buy. Their answer.... well Samsung says it cant be the TV so we cant replace it?? The repair tech even cant figure it out... so be aware that a warranty is not what it appears. The will only repair/replace if someone admits there's an issue.... like that happens in this day and age. Ive wasted more time/money in taking time off for lousy technicians and should have just purchased a new TV...Bottom Line is my handicaped wife has to suffer because Samsung cant believe its thier TV and Best buy doesnt stand behind thier warranty

What you might not know is the people that attempted to repair your TV are not BB employees, they are contracted technicians from local repair shops who should be certified in the repairs. If you are getting CC to come up and if it is screwy on all channels, then yes, you might have a valid complaint. Most people dont attempt many channels, they will try there favorite, usually live news broadcast where you have some Dumb#$% typing translation live tv. Try watching HBO or something. If it translates properly then its the broadcast network.

that same exact thing happened to my parents... they said we would have to purchase a new tv my dad said that was BULLL**** and harrassed them until they ended up just giving them a new television which was a *** of alot better than the other one.. and my dad got a tech out there quick. pretty nice if your a mean one to them. if you show them how they act by acting like them... hey they'll change their attitude! :grin
